As the new year approaches, we look forward to 2022 with one question in mind.. What will mens fashion and mens clothing brands look like in 2022?
The end of 2021 is sneaking up on us faster than we think, but that really only means we’ll soon be able to get a fresh start on a new year with lots of fresh trends to look forward to. And while we have no idea what TV shows will become the new Squid Game or Bridgerton, or what type of milk we’ll be having our coffee with, we do have some insight into what everyone will be wearing come 2022.
Thus, here at My Urban Wardrobe we’ve spent the past few weeks distilling all of the most important trends to be born of the forthcoming season so that you have a comprehensive buying and dressing guide when spring 2022 eventually rolls around.
From big love for sleeveless garments to the rise of cut-out vests, we’ve got you (and everything apart from your arms, apparently) covered. Here is a list of some mens clothing brands we will be keeping a close eye on in the new year:
For the last 18 months and the past three fashion seasons, the concept of a traditional fashion week has not existed. As a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the social restrictions that have come with it, designers have not been able to host mens fashion shows in the way we once knew them, with many fashion houses turning to digital formats or hosting audience-free shows, with some even forgoing the concept altogether.
However, we will start to see more in-person fashion shows than we haven't experienced for a very long time. Although the schedules are still not quite back to normal, a loosening of restrictions in the four major fashion capitals will allow fashion week to take place in a physical setting and plenty of brands are returning to fashion shows for the first time since March 2020.
